The job requires this person to regularly conduct certain professional responsibilities of an administrative nature. In this regard, they may interact with customers, suppliers or other employees within the organization. Generally, their primary objective is to synthesize information, organize their function and ensure fulfillment of goals and responsibilities. In some organizations they may have several people report to them; however, supervision is secondary to their primary responsibilities.

Administrative Assistant:

These positions require administrative skills, record keeping, organization/scheduling of activities, coordinating events and supportive functions. Organizing and prioritizing one's work flow, understanding requirements and a desire to help others meet established goals are important qualities for this position.

They are responsible for recommending personnel, material and supply requirements.

 Customer Service:

Individuals in this position are primarily responsible for assisting customers, clients, patients, and product end-users. Serving as a liaison between the firm and the public, this worker looks to bring satisfactory results to everyday or difficult situations. This position is best filled by those who enjoy dealing with people, who are good communicators and who like to solve problems. Often this requires patience to probe and satisfy disgruntled or irate individuals.

Account Executive:

This sales position is responsible for sales to major clients and account maintenance afterward. Generally, the emphasis for a person in this position is serving as a high level liaison between the organization and a limited number of sophisticated clientele. Often this includes working in a high-tech environment or selling high-priced products or services. It is paramount that this candidate has an ability to gain a thorough understanding of each client's varying needs and service applications.

 Sales Representative:

This sales position requires a good deal of business development outside the office or by telephone, in addition to the ability to present and to close effectively. An emphasis is placed on those who can organize their time and priorities efficiently, make high quality presentations and who are resilient in the face of rejection.

 Outside Sales:

Prospecting, cold-calling and one-call closing differentiates this position. The products or services involved are usually not complicated or high priced. These people usually have a territory with a number of customers and prospects. Therefore, their cold-calling skills and ability to close immediately are both critical to their success.

 Inside Salesperson:
